Orange "Pumpkins" - A Fun and Healthy Fall Snack

By Wendy, Publisher of NE Columbus Macaroni Kid October 13, 2016
This "pumpkin" is my favorite healthy snack for fall school parties (or just a fun snack in general!). It's easy to make, easy for the kids to eat, and it looks super cute!

What you need:
Clementines or mandarin oranges
Celery

What you do:
Peel the oranges and set aside. Cut the "pumpkin" stems from a stalk of celery by cutting long strips, then across to make rectangular pieces. Experiment to get the size you think looks best. Stick your celery pieces ("pumpkin stems") into the hole on top of the peeled orange where the segments meet.

That's it! Super cute, healthy snacks for fall and Halloween parties, or anytime.

Tip: My kids do not like the strings in celery, so I found that peeling the outer part of the stalk to remove those strings has now made them celery eaters!
