The staff and students at School of Rock West Seattle are so fortunate to have been able to commit to health and safety during the pandemic.
We have pivoted to create programming that everyone can safely participate in.
- Installing plastic barriers and new studio recording equipment has allowed us to keep our students engaged but safely socially distanced in the school.
- Videos from our summer studio project are starting to be posted in Basecamp projects today!
- We are currently fostering partnerships with local clubs and studios such as Borealis on Aurora and London Bridge Studios. Not only will this allow us to stream quality performances online, but it offers much needed business to our music venues during very difficult times for them.
While our community connections and committed staff have helped us keep costs down, these moves are expensive during a time when we are receiving far less in tuition fees. Our ability to maintain until after the pandemic relies partially on finding some support through grants and community donations.

Our students have had the privilege of supporting our non-profit community partners including St Jude's Children's Hospital, The Crisis Clinic, Treehouse, and The Boys and Girls Club.
Now, we are turning to the community to ask you to support them so they can continue to grow the musical talent, self confidence and leadership skills that School of Rock students are known for.

Funds raised in this effort will go towards covering the costs of our newly developed pandemic programming, including turning the school into a studio for socially distanced rehearsals, providing free studio sessions, offering free online songwriting classes for students and streaming performances from high quality venues and music studios.
